#sanvalentinoalessi, next Friday 13th at the Enoteca (9.30 / 19.30), is our Valentine event. To know more, read here! A (not only) social networks event with a great guest: the Bacio Perugina, the praline with 100 years of history. The origins of a Kiss: Bacio's birth Not love about the very start of the story, but business! It is 1922 when Luisa Spagnoli, co-founder of Perugina, invents a way to use hazelnuts fragments from previous working. She mix the hazelnuts crumbs with dark chocolate, adding a whole hazelnut. The "Cazzotto" was born: "fist", after it's shape. Definitely not a romantic name... And the Cazzotto will become "Bacio" because of a forbidden love and a smart advertising executive... Federico Seneca designed the packaging and advertising for the Bacio Perugina. While the name "Bacio" came from Giovanni Buitoni, the other Perugina co-founder with Luisa, Seneca had the idea of the cartouche inside the praline wrap. But it seems that Seneca had the idea because Luisa was used to send love messages to Giovanni, her lover, using the chocolate that he had to taste... "Il Bacio", now! The appeal of Bacio Perugina is still intact. Indeed! The "Kiss" has become a classic for Valentine. If you come to us next Friday, with #sanvalentinoalessi you can taste the sweetness and yummyness of the Bacio... and a discount of 10% on Baci Perugina boxed sets as well! ;-)
