Wines
Wine needs to be seen as a complement of food. It should not be used to quench thirst, but to accompany and ennoble meals. The accurate choice of wine that needs to matched to different courses is a sign of thorough and respectable gastronomy.
The successful union of wine and food represents the ideal condition to appreciate the joys of culinary perfection on a daily basis.
As a family, Alessi made wine the core of their life philosophy.
The enoteca, in the heart of Florence, offers a showcase of the best italian wines. Bottles of Amarone, Barolo, Barbera, Nero d’Avola, Aglianico, Franciacorta.. Italy’s most precious bubbles!
And then come… The tuscan wines! Famous and appreciated throughout the world, here at Alessi they are true stars. The enoteca hosts different wines from about twenty producers of Chianti Classico, just as many producers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and around thirty different producers Brunello di Montalcino.
The big tuscan names, known by someone as Super Tuscan, are here too: the ones that have made history and keep on making it such as Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Masseto, Pergole Torte, Redigaffi, Guado al Tasso and Luce can be found aging in the cellar. Alessi numbers verticals of vintages coming from the seventies and eighties!
The Magnum and DoubleMagnum format of historical tuscan and italian labels is also displayed in the wine cellar.
