An American in Florence: 3 months later

Ciao! I have now been an intern with Enoteca Alessi for 3 months now and I’ve learned lots.

I have slowly adjusted to the way of life here and gotten used to Florence in the 4 months I’ve lived here.

The Enoteca Family has taught me so much about wine and customer service. I’ve also, been able to share some of my social media expertise with them.

I’ve done lots of pictures for them during my time and I absolutely love that because Enoteca Alessi is like an endless shop of fun.

An endless shop of fun!

One side is candy, coffee and goodies.

The other side is a vast selection of spirits, fancy cheeses, olives, aged meats and anything else you can think of to throw on a Charcuterie Tray.

Then there is the wine bar where you can grab a Tagliere - the legendary Taglieri dell'Alessi! - board full of select cheeses and meats, fruits and vegetables.

They have a small menu for food and snack options and an even bigger menu for wines.

Down below there is an incredible wine cellar filled to the brim with different wines from all over Italy.

The shop has become part of my daily routine. I go in, during the afternoon and then I leave in the evening.

All about wines

I learned all about how to buy and sell wines.

There were shipment days where there were lots of new product everywhere.

Event days were among some of my favorite days because the shop is filled with excitement and people looking to try new foods or drinks.

My favorite groups are the wine tasters because sometimes they are so well versed in wine and other times they are still learning like me.

Over my time with Alessi I have learned how to enjoy life, slow down a bit, drink good wine, eat good food, and take pictures of it.

In conclusion, Enoteca Alessi has been a big part of my life here in Florence, Italy and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!
