Enoteca* Alessi is located in the heart of the florentine old town, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo.

Since its opening in 1952, it has always been run by the Alessi family. Giorgio, the owner, sees the wine as an important form of cultural heritage and is firmly convinced that it has come to develop through time its own language made of flavours, smells, colours, moments and habits.

In the unique area where tastings are held, where ancient vaults and wooden beams frame an incredible selection of grappe, whiskeys and cognac, it is possible to sit, relax and chat while having a superb glass of wine and nibble on a cured meats and Tuscan cheese platters!

Going downstairs, you will discover the wine cellar: a hall of about 300mq where the perfect temperature and humidity to preserve wines, blending with a wisely selected lighting, create the perfect environment to admire over 2,500 different labels of wines coming from all over Italy with an entire room dedicated Tuscany, displayed in wooden and terracotta structures.

Enoteca Alessi has been awarded with the prestigious recognition of Esercizio Storico Fiorentino (Historical Florentine Shop). Throughout the shop, the wine cellar and the wine bar old-fashioned traditions, structures and values are respected and enhanced by matching modernity with experience thanks to the hard work of our staff, always ready to take care of every need that Florentine, Italian and international customers might have.
