Last Sunday 30 September, we celebrated the anniversary of CBF, or Consorzio Bottiglierie Fiorentine, in the wonderful location of the Florence Certosa, the Florentine Charterhouse.

Consorzio Bottiglierie Fiorentine: a bit of history

In 1979 CBF, the Consorzio Bottiglierie Fiorentine was born in Florence, from the needs of a group of retailers who, in order to optimize their supply chain, buying better and at a better price, joined together creating CBF as a buying group; among the founding members of CBF, ours own Giorgio Alessi who, with the avant-garde and always well-stocked Enoteca Alessi, contributed to the growth of the consortium itself, which today counts an excess of …. members!

CBF activity

The Consortium obviously reacts to the needs of its members, buying a wide variety of products, always within the framework of the food & beverage sector.

From confectionery and gastronomy to wines, liqueurs and spirits: all that foody, and characterized by high rotation and therefore by a frenetic in / out warehouse flow.

The exclusive products of the Florentine Bottiglierie Consortium

CBF stands out for its quality choices: it is no coincidence that there are exquisite products, selected by the consortium of suppliers and under the Consorzio Bottiglierie Fiorentine brand. Did you know that? Are you intrigued? Come on in at Alessi, and look for the CBF branded products in our wine shops! :-)

The CBF party

And the last Sunday event, at the Certosa, was also a big party for the CBF's fortieth birthday, a party with over five hundred guests, including members and suppliers.

A wonderful party indeed, where everything was perfect and the quality of the tasted products excellent!

There was, in a relaxed day and for once away from the hectic pace of work, laughter and hugs between friends, colleagues, partners. The beautiful weather and the beauty of the scenery made everything even more special.

The Certosa, commissioned by Niccolò Acciaioli in the XIVth Century, a majestic manor born for the study of theology and science, seemed to us in excellent shape!
